We worked with Paul, John, Chad, Luis on our upstairs bathroom remodel. They started in December and tore out everything - tub, toilet, cabinets, floor. We finished in late January, and it’s an amazing, relaxing, custom space. The team was professional and pleasant to see in our home almost every day. The pictures don’t do it justice. We are just absolutely pleased with how well it came out! Paul recommended a few local companies such as Cobble Creek Countertops, Tile for Less, Sterling Shower Glass. They all spoke very highly of Paul and were great local options to work with. These were necessary suggestions because I ran into material sourcing issues when working through the design - Connie at Cobble Creek, Madelyn at Tile for Less, and Matthew at Sterling Shower Glass absolutely brought it all together for us! The shower and floor tile, the niche and seat, were really important details to get right, and Chad took his time and laid it out great. John fixed a venting problem for our lower bathroom through the floor when it was open, savings us time and money. Luis added outlets and lights and switches. The craftsmanship is excellent. As you might expect, the bathroom remodel was loud and dirty and disruptive and I was there almost every day. Thankfully they worked reasonable hours. They did a decent job of cleaning up each day. Any damage or issues were fixed promptly. They communicated well in person and over text. Paul took care of the insurance, permits, and coordination. Paul provided an estimate at the beginning, and I paid in three installments during the project. I provided some of the big pieces and his team did the rest. The price was close enough to the estimate, about $20k plus what I purchased (tile, vanity, toilet, countertops, etc) for a total under $30k for our 100 sqft bathroom. I would hire Paul Rudd and his team again and recommend them.Posted on Google Doug CurryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had three bathroom vanities installed and four medicine cabinets came in on time and under budget, will use them again they were great.Posted on Google Jennifer CrookTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were really happy with the work Paul and his team did to remodel our shower/tub area! The project took longer than anticipated but the ultimate cost was right in line with the estimate and the team made sure everything was done right, even if it had to be done a second time. Price was right in line with some other estimates we got. They also made friends with our cats and dogs, who loved them! Would recommend and will use them again in the future.Posted on Google Shellee HoagTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an amazing experience working with Paul and his team on our master bathroom remodel. From start to finish, they were professional, communicative, and reliable. Paul kept us informed every step of the way and made sure everything ran smoothly. The tile work done by Chad was truly a piece of art, his attention to detail and craftsmanship elevated the entire space. Every line, angle, and finish was done with care and precision, and it shows. The project was completed on time, the quality exceeded our expectations, and the process was smooth and stress-free. We’re thrilled with the final result and would absolutely hire Paul again for future projects. Highly recommend!Posted on Google Janice FineTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul, John, Chad and Jeremy are great to work with and were able to accommodate last minute updates I wanted to make. My renovation is beautiful!Posted on Google Jay ShacklefordTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul and his guys were amazing. Showed up on time for every appt and every day of work. Got the job done in the time and budget quoted and it was obvious they took their time on the important things to make sure it looked great. I would definitely use them again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a contractorPosted on Google Jesse HubbardTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Quality, communication, detail, price, and timeline are all top tier. I would easily recommend Paul and his team to anyone. They can do it all.Posted on Google Charlie MostowTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rudd was super quick and easy to work with. He is helping us convert our detached garage into an art studio. It’s a cinder block building and needs to become fully weather sealed. He came and gave us a free estimate and created a really detailed itemized proposal with material and labor costs broken down. There were lots of options and he has been very flexible with us for timing of breaking the project into parts. When we started he fit us in the schedule and he and his guys knocked out the first phase in two days! They left the place really clean so we could get to work. We’ll definitely be using him for the rest of the project. So glad we found him.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. 3D Design Consultations
Don’t guess what your new space will look like. We provide detailed 3D mockups during the planning phase so you can visualize the layout, lighting, and finishes before construction begins.
Permit & Code Compliance Experts
Navigating the building departments in Salt Lake City, West Jordan, or Draper can be a headache. We handle all submittals, inspections, and life-safety requirements (including Radon testing) to ensure your basement is safe and legal.
How much does basement finishing cost in Utah? In 2026, the average cost to finish a basement in the Salt Lake Valley typically ranges from $50 to $85 per square foot, depending on the finish level (Basic vs. Premium) and add-ons like bathrooms or wet bars. We provide a fully itemized quote so you know exactly where your budget is going.
Does finishing a basement increase my home value? Yes. In the Salt Lake City market, a professionally finished basement (especially one with a bathroom and legal bedroom) typically offers a 70% to 75% return on investment (ROI). It is one of the most effective ways to increase your home’s square footage without the cost of a full addition.
Do I need a permit to finish my basement in West Jordan or SLC? Yes. Any project involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or structural framing requires a permit from your local city office. This ensures your home remains insurable and safe. We handle all permitting and inspections as part of our service.
How do you handle basement moisture and radon in Utah? Utah basements are prone to radon and occasional moisture. We offer radon testing before we start and use moisture-resistant materials and proper insulation strategies to ensure your new living space is healthy and dry.
